India Day in Year 4

India Day was great! We played carrom – a game where you flick a flat disk called the striker and make it hit other disks (it is a bit like pool). After that we coloured in mandalas, then had sari dressing! The saris came in turquoise and lush purple colours. Daisy and Ella tried some on; they looked beautiful!

Throughout the day each table cooked dahl or chapati bread (I cooked the chapati), – you rolled out dough into a thin layer then added flour. Afterwards we were served dahl, coconut chutney, raita, crispy cooked chapati bread and last but not least a mango lassi. Delicious!
