Richmond has a commitment to provide all children with free part-time education in the term after their 3rd birthday. All LEA reception or nursery classes and many registered private and voluntary providers provide 3 hours per day, five times a week. Collis Admissions Policy
At Collis School we have 50 places in our Nursery unit, divided equally between the morning and afternoon sessions. Each session is three hours long, the times are as follows:
Morning session: 8.45 – 11.45 am
Afternoon session: 12.30 – 3.30 pm
Children are eligible to join our nursery during the academic year in which they become four years old. All children join at the start of the school year in September.
You are invited to visit the nursery when your child is 2½ years old. The headteacher offers individual appointments to view the nursery and the school at work during the day.
It is important to apply on time. The closing date for entry in September 2012 (children born between Sept 08 – Aug 09) is Friday 10th February 2012.

Our nursery is always oversubscribed. Places are therefore allocated strictly in accordance with the guidance set out by the Local Authority. Please click on the link below for full details of how nursery places are allocated.
We start making offers towards to the end of March, the process can take some weeks. Please feel free to call to find out where your child is on our waiting list.
