Admissions to Reception

receptionChildren join the Reception class in the academic year in which they become five.  We are a three form entry school with 90 Reception places.  All children join at the start of the Autumn Term on a part-time basis (8.50am – 12.00) progressing to full days from January (8.50am – 3.15pm).

Parents who wish to make an application for a place should first make an appointment to visit the school.  The headteacher offers individual appointments to view the nursery and the school at work during the day.

Applications are made on-line via the Richmond Borough website www.richmond.gov.uk/online_admissions.  Applications are not made to the school.

The closing date for applications for September 2012 entry is Sunday 15th January 2012.

Collis School receives far more applications than there are places available.  Places are, therefore, allocated by the Local Authority according to its admission policy. Please refer to the London Borough of Richmond Website for more information.

Please note:  admission to nursery does not guarantee a Reception place.  This is a separate application.

The Admissions Department will write to families on Wednesday 18th April 2012 informing them of the result of their application

Parents have the right to appeal to the LA if their application has not been successful.

If you have any questions or would like to arrange an appointment to visit, please call Jayne King, Administrative Officer, on 8977 1458.
