SATS

At the end of KS1 (Yr2), teachers assess each child in the areas of speaking and listening, reading, writing, maths and science.  National Curriculum assessments are used to support teachers’ judgements.  Children are also assessed at the end of KS2 (Yr 6) in English, maths and science.

The graphs below compare our KS1 and KS2 SATs results with the local authority average and the national average.  Performance at Collis was well above national averages and in almost all areas; our attainment was above our high achieving local authority averages.  These are outstanding results.

Progress of the children in Yr 6 was particularly pleasing (see final slide – Value Added Score).  When compared to all schools nationally, Collis ranks in the top 5% for progress.

We were delighted with these results.  They are a tribute to the children and the staff.
