Year 6

Pop ArtDT – I remember making an electrically powered car with Daniel.  It was great that we could build it from scratch then tweak it to make it go as fast as possible. SEAN

ART – Pop-Art was fantastic because it was modern and different. ALICE

ART – I liked doing the landscape pictures in the style of Escher and Seurat because we got to move around the school looking at different points of view. BETH

LITERACY – We got to write lots of stories so we could be really creative but they were also linked to other subjects.  OLIVIA

SCIENCE – There are lots of wonderful experiments – we dissolved salt in water then poured it through filtration paper which was really fun.  We even separated tea and water. ROHAN

FootballPE/GAMES – There’s lots of chances to be in competitions.  Some of us took part in a football tournament at NPL.  There was an athletics competition at Hampton School – it was good!  You mainly do stuff you like. Miss Day organised a dance competition which was a bit like Britain’s Got Talent!  MATTHEW W

MATHS – We did lots of investigations which was challenging.  We designed a house working out the perimeter and area then adding in our own furniture and stuff.  LARA

FRENCH – I really enjoyed it because it was taught well with pictures, songs and games.  Once we had a French breakfast with baguette, jam and croissants which was really yummy!  DANIEL M

Dunce's HatHISTORY – We went to Gunnersbury Museum because we were doing the Victorians.  It was a good experience of what school life was like in Victorian times.  Lara was put in the dunce’s hat which was funny because she is really clever!  ALISTAIR

IOW – All the activities were so good they were amazing – so hard to pick a favourite.  We did an obstacle course and you had to crawl through muddy, sandy stuff.  You learn loads as well and you get along with your friends.  Fond memories – I wish I could go back!   CHARLIE

The chalets were great because it was like having your own place – you could get away from the busy activities.  There were lots of different activities – something for everyone.  ALICE K

The Isle of Wight trip is great fun and a chance to spend time with your friends before going to secondary school.  ANNABEL
