The Road Ahead

“Collis lays strong foundations for children to build on in future years”
- David Butterfield, Headteacher

The children transfer from primary to secondary school at the end of Year 6 (“Secondary Transfer”).

Local secondary schools hold open evenings during the autumn term of each school year to help parents make informed choices.

Places are allocated in accordance with the Borough’s Secondary Schools Admission Policy.

The Link School Policy

The Borough’s link school policy applies to mixed sex community schools.

Broadly, the policy provides for children attending a link primary school to have priority admission, after brothers and sisters, to the secondary school where there has been the strongest history of children transferring from the primary to secondary school.

Collis is linked to Teddington School where the majority of our children transfer. We also send a number of girls to Waldegrave School.

Parents are, of course, free to apply to any secondary school of their choice.
